The newly exploring will be nurtured,experienced practitioners will find offerings to expand Reiki horizons, further personal healing, enrich professional expertise.

It is my goal to help anyone desiring to learn Reiki for personal enrichment or professional purposes to have access to a class time and environment that fit their needs. Small class sizes assure each participant will have the time and opportunity to focus fully on learning this sacred energy in all its applications. Please read the class descriptions and check available dates. Private instruction is available upon request.

Traditionally, Usui Reiki is taught in levels. Reiki I is the first level, Reiki II, the second. Reiki III is Advanced Reiki Training and today, is often combined with the Reiki Master Teacher training. Historically, it was expected the student would spend at least six months experiencing and using Reiki I before moving on to Reiki II, and at least a year at Reiki II before being accepted to Reiki master training. Today, Reiki levels I & II are often taken in one combined class over two or three days. All classes are held in Lansdowne, Virgina.

Reiki I

This first level class will empower you to care for yourself and others using Reiki for its well known benefits of relaxation and stress relief. The history of Reiki will be taught. You will learn traditional hand placements as well as intuitive hand placement and receive the Level One attunement. This is a hands-on class. You will learn to open to and trust your intuition, building confidence in your ability to recognize the flow of Reiki energy and how it affects the body, mind, heart and spirit. Practice as both practitioner and patient will build your confidence and your skill. You will receive a Reiki I certificate and your Reiki lineage will be documented.

Reiki II

During the Reiki II class Japanese Reiki techniques, which include scanning and beaming, among others, will be introduced and practiced. All Reiki II symbols, their meanings and purpose will be taught in detail with ample time to practice so you will become familiar with them. You will learn distance healing, the use of Reiki through time and space. Attunements include Level Two and Reiki II symbols. You will receive a Reiki II certificate and your Reiki lineage will be documented.

Advanced Reiki (ART or III)

Advanced Reiki Training delves deeper into the history, practice and ever expanding and emerging world of Reiki. Within this class you can catch up on anything you may have missed or forgotten in past classes - this happens to many Reiki people! There is much to absorb in the first two classes and Reiki II is taught at most in a three day class, usually in just two days. There is often simply not enough time to cover everything about this wonderful and sacred energy named Reiki. This is one reason Loudoun Reiki strives to keep class size small. You will have the opportunity to further your knowledge of any aspect you choose, discuss blending Reiki with other modalities, or simply connect more deeply with your higher self and the Reiki energy. You will receive the Master attunement but not the Master teaching symbols. This class covers much of what is covered in Reiki Master Teacher class, yet many practitioners prefer to take ART prior to taking Reiki Master Teacher or plan never to teach at all. Warning: Reiki has a way of moving one along their path, so please consider taking Reiki Master Teacher Training combined with or in place of ART. All knowledge is valuable and it does not require that you become a teacher.

Reiki Master Teacher

Attunement to the Master symbols enriches one on many levels, opens one to a vast and wonderful oneness with all that is, and grounds the practitioner deeply in the energy of Reiki. You will receive attunements that prepare you to attune Reiki practitioners, expanding the lineage of Reiki into the future. This is a scared trust and an incredible gift. We are reminded always that as one uses Reiki energy, they are both channel and recipient, both allowing and receiving the benefits of this healing energy. A sense of connection cannot help but develop with all that is over time as one simply lives their life, using Reiki for just about every purpose under the sun. Anyone can learn this unconditionally loving energy that heals and empowers and anyone can learn to teach Reiki and empower others.

Onething I have learned over the years is that there is no typical ReikiPractitioner. This is especially true of Reiki Master Teachers, who come fromevery field of endeavor one can imagine. I know Reiki Masters who are scientific researchers for major universities, MD's and RN's, executives from major corporations, successful financial advisors. Many “Reiki people” chart new horizons that arefascinating and prove the synergistic quality in the world today is everexpanding. Reiki is marvelously synergistic and flows in myriad patterns,helping each person explore their own potential in their own way.

I am Ellen Oliver, aReiki Master Teacher and Practitioner. Loudoun Reiki is the culminationof many years’ delight using Reiki energy in traditional and non-traditionalways. My Reiki journey began over twenty years ago. In the very beginning Iwas taught and used the standard Reiki hand positions developed and taught byChujiro Hayashi, a medical doctor and Shinpiden (Japanese Reiki Master.) However,it wasn’t long – in fact before I had even finished Reiki I, that I foundmyself spontaneously using Reiki energy in very different ways. Luckily, myReiki Master was not only open to this, she happily shared many surprisingways to use Reiki. I have been blessed with teachers who teach and practice“unconditional Reiki” respecting all lineages and furthering the disseminationof Reiki into the world, where it acts, always, only to the Highest and Most Holy Universal Good of All.

Mygoal is to share Reiki with the world a few people at a time, through Reikisessions and Reiki classes: Reiki I through the Master levels. Mypractice includes traditional Reiki sessions and classes as well as theblending of Reiki energy with crystal healing, Vogel Crystal wands, and otherhealing techniques. Also offered: classes for personal development through theuse of Reiki and sacred art forms or crafts: mandalas, mosaics – you never knowwhat might come up, because there is no typical class or Reiki client!
